afternoon. i'm eric rasmussen. tori campbell has the day off. >>> we're learning about the deadly shooting in san francisco that revolved around an internet ad for a playstation 4. ktvu's tara moriarty just talked to police and joins us with a major development in this case. tara? >> reporter: yeah, police chief sir said they have a suspect in custody and are not releasing his name at this point, but we know he is around 20 years old and an african- american male. now, we believe that the shooting happened at the end of this street. this is galvez and mendell, according to neighbors. this would have been desolate on sunday because it's a very industrial section. we checked this whole block for surveillance video and came up empty-handed, except this building. we have yet to check to see if it has details about the killer. the victim and his girlfriend drove seven blocks after being shot here. the coroner identified the victim as 22-year-old ikenna wakka. he was visiting daly city forking this and had been studying economics in los angeles before he was killed. he and his girlfriend drove
, everybody, i am brian flors in for tori campbell. parts of the bay area woke up to another morning of freezing temperatures a live look toward mt. diablo and things aspear to be warm in up ever so slightly. rosemary orosco has been monitoring the cold weather and joins us with the cold temperatures. >> yes, good afternoon to you. we started today just like yesterday, the freeze warning temperatures sinking into the 20s in some cases. we broke a few records. and this point still struggling. take a look at these numbers, 40s fairfield and concord, mid- 40s napa, north bay temperatures 30s to mid-40s, 35 degrees there, 45 hillsburg. 44 pet a loom aalong the peninsula a little better, upper 40s to low 50s, 50 degrees palo alto, mid-40s walnut creek, low 40s brentwood, 49 san ramon and temperatures are expected to warm two to three degrees more for the entire day. >>> as we move forward you may have already noticed an increase in clouds moving through the bay area and if you look to the north we have changes coming. by tonight rain will move in and with this cold air mass in place we ha

'm tori campbell. >> good morning. i'm dave clark. >>> let's check weather and traffic. mark tamayo is here for steve paulson. >> good morning. it's very cold. we all know that. take a look at the numbers. these kind of surprised me. you can see clearlake oaks, 11 degrees. these are unofficial reports. you get an idea how cold it is. geyserville, 18. pes pescadero, 25. right now, it's 19 degrees in napa. widespread 20s out towards fairfield, walnut creek and livermore. san jose below freezing at 30 degrees. downtown san francisco, one of the warmer spots at 41. santa rosa in the mid-20s at 25. so obviously we've been talking all week about the freeze warning. it is in place due this morning. once again, we'll do it again. another round of very cold temperatures expected first thing tomorrow morning. we'll expect more and incoming rain that could mean a low snow level is coming up. sal has an update on traffic. >>> good morning to you. the traffic continues to move along pretty well. you will see a backup at the bay bridge toll plaza. it's going to be a little bit of a delay. it's ab

be cleared. that's coming up in just a second. good morning. welcome to "mornings on 2." i'm tori campbell. >> good morning. climb dave clark. >>> let's go right to -- good morning. i'm dave clark. >>> let's go right to sal. >> westbound highway 4, right near bailey road. the traffic is narrowing down to one lane and maybe the shoulder. but most of the freeway is blocked. we have a long backup stretching as farther back even in antion. you know how bad it gets without any crashes at all on a monday coming out of highway 4. if this is your commute, you might strongly want to consider putting it off because some of the side roads that i would recommend are now very crowded. people have heard about the crash and they are on side roads. you will be caught up in a bunch of slow traffic. i can't really in good conscious tell you take a side street because everyone else has already thought about that. you are kind of looking at these long delays. if you can get to the b.a.r.t. station, maybe you can do that. but again, highway 4 near bailey road. most of the freeway is blocked. chp has issued a s
